The Rising of the Shield Hero 2 will be released on April 6
This Thursday the official website and social media accounts for the anime adaptation of The Rising of the Shield Hero have been updated with release date of the second season of the series. This continuation of the anime will start broadcasting on Japanese television 6 of April through AT-X at 10:00 p.m. Japanese time and on Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto, and Sun TV at 12:05 p.m. (corresponding to 1:05 a.m. the next day), among other channels. Outside of Japan, this second season can be followed through Crunchyroll as it happened with the first anime.
MADKID will take care of putting the opening theme from the second season, with the song “Bring Back”. In addition to the group MADKID, it was also announced that the artist in charge of providing the ending theme for The Rising of the Shield Hero 2 is Chiai Fujikawawho will perform the theme song “Yuzurenai” for the ending. Another name previously revealed is that of the singer and dubbing actress Kana Hanazawa (Nadeko Sengoku in Bakemonogatari, Red Blood Cell in Cells at Work!, Anri Sonohara in Durarara!!), who will voice a new character, Ost Horai. In September 2019 and during Crunchyroll Expo 2019, it was announced that this anime adaptation of Aneko Yusagi’s light novel series would have two more seasons, apart from the first anime of 2019. Kinema Citrus is behind the anime with Takao Abo (Norn9) directed and scripted by Keigo Koyanagi (Regalia: The Three Sacred Stars). Masahiro Suwaanimation director at Hitsugi no Chaika, was in charge of adapting Minami Seira’s character designs to anime. Kevin Penkin is credited as the author of the musical composition. This first anime of The Rising of The Shield Hero ended with 25 episodes, which can be enjoyed in Spain through Crunchyroll in the original version with Spanish subtitles.
