Frieren’s first chapter available for free
Sousou no Frieren o Frieren a dry, as it will be titled in our country, will go on sale in the Month of May as one of the novelties for the Barcelona Comic Fair. In the meantime, Editorial Standard just put available for free the preview of first chapter (click here) of this award-winning work by Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe. We remind you that the Spanish edition of this title will have color pages not included in the original volume Japanese.
Takehiko Yamada write and Tsukasa Abe draws the winning work for best manga in this edition of the 2021 Manga Taisho Awards. An adventure and fantasy shônen manga starring the elf Frieren along with her young apprentice that has been published in the pages of the magazine Weekly Shonen Sunday of Shogakukan since last year 2020 and that has 7 compiled volumes. The work was also awarded the New Author award at the 25th edition of the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize. The demon king has been defeated and the group of victorious heroes returns home before disbanding. The four (manga Frieren, hero Himmel, priest Heiter, and warrior Eisen) reminisce about their decade-long journey when it’s time to say goodbye. But the passage of time is different for elves, so Frieren witnesses his companions slowly die one by one. Before his death, Heiter manages to impose on Frieren a young human apprentice named Fern. Driven by the elf’s passion to collect a myriad of magical spells, the pair embark on a seemingly aimless journey, revisiting places that heroes of old had visited. Throughout his travels, Frieren slowly comes to grips with his regret at missed opportunities to form deeper bonds with his now-deceased comrades. Source: Editorial Standard
