ASUS has announced its custom variants of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 TUF Gaming series, the ASUS TUF GAMING GeForce RTX 3050. Despite being the most modest graphics card in the RTX 3000 series and its Ampere architecture, this model has its own PCB and a dual-fan and triple-slot cooling system. Thanks to this oversized heatsink, the graphics card can work in passive mode without the fans turning on for quite some time. It will only be when 55 degrees Celsius are reached that we will see both fans rotate.
There will be two variants, the ASUS TUF GAMING GeForce RTX 3050 and the ASUS TUF GAMING GeForce RTX 3050 OC Overclocked as standard. Therefore, the main and only difference between both models is their speed of operation. If in the normal model we have a “Game” frequency of 1,777 MHz and a Boost frequency of 1,807 MHz, in the OC model those speeds go up to 1,845 MHz and 1,875 MHz respectively.
In either case, we have the 2,560 CUDA Cores of the RTX 3050, along with 8 GB of GDDR6 memory, two HDMI 2.1 outputs and three DisplayPort 1.4a. The design is spiced up with RGB lighting on the edge. At the moment we do not know its price.
